All I can say is Obama Baby!!!
Okay, so you have all heard the news I'm sure... America has elected its first African American Prez. Party time for everyone. This is the best thing to happen to this country in a long time. I am proud to be an American again, and that's a great way to feel. For the past eight years we have been living under THE REIGN OF TERROR. Bush really effed up this country and shame on all who voted for him the second time around. Technically he cheated the first time, so that's excusable, but why the eff would anyone vote for him again??? It boggles this girls mind to think of such things. So yeah, thank you douche bag Bush for proving to all that you truly are an idiot and thanks for ruining the political future of the GOP. Yippee, DEMOCRATIC PARTY REIGNS SUPREME!!!! This is such an amazing time for our country to pull itself away from hate and war and unearth new ideas and policies. I am so excited to see what Obama and his cabinet have in store for us. No doubt they have quite a large task ahead of them, but he's going to rise up and pull this nation together. We will be united and proud again. Hooray for the liberal American!!!

Oh my goodness... Blah, Blah, Blah... AGAIN
Well, they let me and my typing fingers out of our cage again. I've decided that I am a complaint queen. I think that I'm generally happy and joyful, but I always have a lot to say. And, what I'm saying isn't always good and happy. I'm the kinda girl who has a lot on her mind and I wanna share my thoughts and visions with anyone that wants to listen. I don't always make a lotta sense and tend to ramble, but at least I'm gettin' myself out there. Some people cannot even say that they are doing that.
Hmmm... The real thing on my mind is that work is getting outta control. I have a wonderful job and I work with some of the best people in the business, BUT---> When you start to feel like you are being taken advantage of by the higher-ups, you start to not feel so great. I'm pretty easy going and can tend to be passive at times. It's weird for me because I'm pretty strong willed and speak my mind. But, when my boss is angry and telling me to do something, I'd rather just avoid a fight and just do what she says. I may speak my mind when applicable, but I am non-confrentational and like to avoid ruffling feathers. That's not my style.
But what does one do in this situation? I need advise on how to approach my job, boss, and current situation. Help me my blog family, help this young girl in need :)

Well, well, well...
Hey out there... It has seriously been a long time since I've written here. This is kinda like all those journals I own. I get all into it and write like every day for a couple weeks then it all goes to hell and I just stop. It's really a bummer, I love to write and need to do it more... You know, hone my skills and all... La-Di-Da---> Moving forward, I am living in up on my end of the universe. I have now moved on to my own personal conquest in this thing we call life. I live alone, and let me tell ya, it's a good way to live... Kinda :) I'm gonna tell you a story...
I always saw myself as a really dependant person. It's probably no surprise fo those out there who know me (which is the only 4 people who read this). I have learned so much about myself since I've been regaining my independence. I have a lot more energy then I thought I ever had. It's quite empowering. To think that you always need someone around to feel fufilled is a crazy way to be. Now I have a new form of confidence that I've never known. I love it. And plus, my new music revolution has begun. I went to Bonnaroo and saw a ton of wicked great bands that I love. I'm going to the ALL GOOD festival in July and I'm going to see a ton more... then 3-11 and Snoop Dogg (weird I know :))... then Matt Costa and Coldplay... oh geez, then Moe Down... Yikes, it is going to be pure madness and happiness and craziness. I love it. I'm embracing a whole new Rachel that I didn't know existed... Empowered am I. Hear me roar.
I have also learned who is a good friend and who isn't. That sounds so harsh and I truly love everyone in my life, BUT---> When you leave your comfort zone (aka Barre) it's harder to see your regular crowd. I have built stronger relationships with my friends since I moved because I now know who is going to be there when I leave said comfort zone... zone, zone, zone...
I gently float away,
towards a sea of ecstacy.
Slowly floating down,
that endless path ahead of me.
Random poem thought... Hmmm... I work more on that later...
Remember my fine feathers ghouls, Have peace in your heart and love in your soul... And anything is possible... And I mean anything :)
Your truly, without much regret, Rachel Janhunen

The coldness is beginning to take its toll...
I don't know about all of you, but I'm getting pretty crazy waiting for the warm weather to come back. I know that it's just around the corner, yet it still feels like it's never going to come back. I long for the endless summer days sitting next to the river up in Vermont. That is the greatest swimming spot ever! It looks like an oasis of peace and serenity. I love how no one really knows about it. Man, we had some great time up there last summer. Isn't it pretty and just so inviting??

Anyway, I'm just sick of sitting inside bored or being outdoors and being just plain freezing. With every new summer comes the memories of summers past. Last summer Tara, Marcella, and I would get up early (early being 10 am, and not even hittin' the road until like noon, but either way early) and hit the road and just sit in the sun with a refreshing beer in hand and just chill. I long for that freedom. The freedom that summer brings. The freedom to escape our dungeons, stretch our arms, rip off our long sleeves, and run through a field. With summer comes: flowers, colors, smiles, new memories, summer ales, parties, laughter, road trips, long walks, beach adventures, rolled down windows, flirtatious behavior, freckles, that wonderful coconut smell, fires, hikes, kayaking journies, bright green canopies, buzzing, whistling, and the list goes on and on my friends. Don't all those things sound so great? I think so. Just writing it made me feel happy inside. So, lets band together and kick coldness outta here and welcome warmth in with open arms and smiles. If your with me, lets devise a plan to sabotage the frigid monster that is looming outside each of our homes. Talk again soon little ones....~~~PEACE~~~

The Realization in the Forest... Huh?
Well, here I am again in front of my computer screen and loving every minute of it. My computer is fritzing out again with the whole free internet I’ve been leaching out of the air. Just when I’m in the middle of a bunch of work and getting things done it just decideds to all of a sudden kick me out. Anyway, enough about that for now…
It’s been a few days and a lot of thoughts later and I finally have something new to say. My last entry was shit and I’m all set with that. I’m probably going to delete it because it is absolute crap. As I lay in my bed at this fine hour of 8am on St. Patrick’s Day I am inspired to write a little poem… So a one, and a two, and a one, two, three, four:
Realization in the Forest
I sit on the verge of spiritual demise as I observe earths star slowly reaching her long pink, orange, and yellow arms up into the great abyss above. As she pulls herself higher and higher, her colors fade and evolve into a color reminiscent of Caribbean waters on a clear day.
The skyscraping trees all around me make me realize how small I am in this unending space and time that we all exist in. The hazy fog slowly and silently creeps away and dissipates into complete non-existence. Now I am all alone with all the chirping, buzzing, and whistling sounds that surround me. I gently feel peace stroll into my soul and embrace the life and spirits that surround me on this dawn of this newest day to ever exist.
I stand up and plant my stems straight below me. Uprooting my essence and new perspectives I gracefully wander along the path ahead of me and thank the atmosphere that surrounds me for exposing me to such pure beauty. Sauntering away I look up and smile as the kind, cool breeze caresses my cheek and I realize that I am actually and sincerely harmoniously blissful for the first time in a long time…
Words, sounds, and images all provided to you by yours truly. And I would like to thank our sponsor: Nature. Thanks again for doing all you do. I was just feeling a little creative so I thought I’d free write a little poem for you all to enjoy, or even perhaps judge and not enjoy. Either way it got you thinking. Well, that’s enough time wasted for one day. So this is Rachel Janhunen, signing off… Over and out.

What is going on?... I'm just plain confused... How 'bout you?
Okay, okay... you can tell me until the cows come home that I'm asking to many questions and am thinking to much... I definitely am, but that is that point of blogging for me. I need answers in an unhealthy world... Many answers. I love the fact that I have no clue what the future will hold, yet at the same time I hate it... Life in your twenties. Being a twenty-something is craziness. Everything is all weird and unpaveded for you. You have the "whole world" ahead of you,yet you have no fucking clue where to go. We all have a master plan, yet hate it or don't really understand why we follow it. Hilariousness... Just one big laugh after another. Thats all life is in all actuality. I now understand that we are all confused, and completely screwed in the grand sceme of things. I'm not alone...

Here She Goes Again...
Well, I’m actually typing this on my Microsoft word processor instead of the good ol’ blog document sheet. My internet is all messed up at the old home-sted and I’m in need of a blog right about now. I shouldn’t really complain about the internet considering I’m stealing it anyway. So, I thought I’d get all crazy, technical and modern and head down to my local Starbucks and connect using a free Wi-Fi connection… Big time wrongness was etched across my face when I walked in, sat down, and tried to connect. Oh, I connected all right. To a massive T-Mobile advertisement and they make you pay for the internet. It’s something stupid like $9.99 for 24 hrs of connection. So that would mean I’d have to stay here at Goddamn Starbucks until 6:30pm tomorrow. No thanks, not for me… So, I’m gonna write my little blog here then roam down to the Bean Counter on Highland St. and see if I can scrape away some free internet. I suppose it is time to just break the bank and buy a little sim card and pay for my addiction.
Addictions…Hmmm… I have a lot of those in my life. He he… J Not all bad though. Being addicted to the internet is a healthy addiction comparatively to other things, maybe. I find myself in front of my computer screen searching all around the world for information, pictures, new music, new faces, and new ideas. The internet is such a frickin’ huge database of endless information. I can’t even imagine life without it. When you have a question, any question, you can find the answer within’ seconds on the internet. How many times have we all said, “Oh, just Google it.“? Man, imagine actually having to go to the library and research things using those little, unending card-ex thingy’s. How 1970’s. That’s ancient history and who has the time? Our generation/country is lazy and the internet is just another reason why we are enabled to be as lazy as we are. Everything can be done from your home these days. I could work, shop, stay connected with family, go to college, and many other things right from my desk chair without having to ever even taste one once of fresh air or contracting one leg muscle. That’s not good for a country where obesity and cardiovascular problems are killing people by the hundred thousands every year. Wow, wow, wow… Slow down here Rachel… I’m contradicting myself (again). Maybe the internet addiction is BAD. It is if your abuse it I suppose. Just like anything in this beautiful world… When experienced in excess it becomes a bad thing. Where was this even going? I can’t remember. La, la, la… Dum, dum, dum…
Moving on to subject number two… When do you know when to draw the line, throw in the towel, and overall sever a relationship? Deep thought, eh? I’m not talking about a long time toxic relationship. I’m talking about a new relationship with a person. Not even a romantic one. Any type you can think of. When you first meet someone you can see what they want you to in the beginning. But things get more personal and people become more relaxed… This is when the true colors come out and people become real. No more selling yourself to your new friend. No more pretending and hiding the flaws you know you possess. So anyway, when do know when to sever this.? When they annoy you to the point of no return and you flip? That’s probably not the answer because someone is bound to get really emotionally hurt. So when? I’m sick of roaming through life and experiencing people that make me feel unhappy with who I am. I am what I am, and that’s it. I’m not going to change and I’m not going to expect anyone else to do the same for me. I wasn’t put on this here earth to be loved by everyone, that’s for damn sure. I want to surround myself with people that I love and that truly love me too. I was with someone for sooo long that tried to make me someone I wasn’t. I just wanna be Rachel and have no issues. I know my undesirable qualities and I try to curb them as much as possible. This is all we can all do to make the people around us happy. I guess this is me rambling on and on and on again. There was a point I promise. I just don’t know when it’s time to cut ties with someone. I’m learning though… I guess…
As each day goes on in my life I am learning new things and discovering decisions that I had never thought I’d have to make. HERE’S A FEW OF MY QUESTIONS THAT I’M TRYING TO FIGURE OUT, MAYBE YOU CAN HELP: When do you cut someone out of your life? When are you making the right decision? When do you decide to move away from home? Where will I end up? Who will I end up with down the road in life? Will I be as happy as I hope in the future? Where will I live? What is the point of all this? Why do we all dwell on the past? Will I ever have the answers I seek? Will the world ever be a peaceful happy place? Do I even want to bring children into this hateful, evil world we live in? Okay, *SIGH* slow down there Rach… That’s a bunch of rambling, but Goddamn it, it feels so good to just free write away here on my computer and actually feel like some closure will come from it. I hope no one out there thinks I’m to crazy… I’m gonna go now and search for that little scrap of internet I need so I can post my crazy tangent to the world and my captivated audience. That audience only includes you three people, and you know who you are. STRIVE FOR PEACE IN AN UNFREE WORLD AND LOVE TO YOU ALL! Over and out… Until the next episode
